Teamsters are active in local government supporting labor friendly candidates and in running for public office, both Republican & Democrat.
To receive an endorsement from 916 a candidate must complete a Teamster candidate questionnaire. That questionnaire is reviewed by a Teamster member committee and then the Local 916 Executive Board. If both approve, the candidate is endorsed.
